Can I join a course that has already started?
You can join the course at any time to suit you.  You will be made aware of any fixed points in the programme, such as live webinars, once you are enrolled onto the course.  If you are not able to join these live events, they will be accessible to you online.
How many courses can I take?
There is no limit on the number of courses you can take.
Can I skip units or sections?
It will be clear from any course instructions if a unit or sections are optional. Otherwise, it is not advisable to skip portions of the course because it will risk leaving significant gaps in your understanding and therefore ability to understand the subject as a whole.
Do I have to complete the course in order?
It depends on the course.  Most courses are designed to help you build on your understanding as you progress through the course, so it’s advisable to do it in the prescribed order.  In some courses, the content may only be released when you have completed certain sections of the course but you will be notified of this in the course itself.  A portfolio can usually be completed in any order to suit you.
How much time should I expect to devote to each course?
Each course is different. Some will take a few hours at one sitting, others a few days.  You will be given guidance on this at the beginning of any course.
Do I need to be available at specific times?
No. One of the useful features of online learning is its flexibility.  The units are designed to be managed in ‘bitesize’ chunks which you can work through at at a time and pace to suit you.  There will be activities scheduled at a specific time, such as a live webinar event, but these will be stored in a library for you to access when convenient to you.
What happens if my course expires before I finish the course?
If your course expires before you’ve completed it contact and we should be able to extend that for you.  You must be aware however that some courses MUST be completed within a time limit. As soon as you are aware there may be an issue contact the support team.
Where can I see my course progress?
Each unit in your course is worth a certain percentage of your course. When you complete a unit, your course progress percentage will increase. Your progress bar will be available on every page of the course.
